I've given the Practical Aquaponics site ANOTHER facelift!

We have had so many folk tell us they liked the old layout better, so we have reactivated that layout together with much, much more information being posted in our BLOG on a regular basis. The BLOG also has a new MEMBERSHIP Section. There is FREE membership content as well as PAID subscription for access to more advanced information, plans and the like. The member areas also enjoy special offers of discounted equipment from time to time.

We will run the two sites side by side for some time while we build the content in the newly activated area This page you are viewing right now will then be deactivated.

Aquaponics photos

Pawpaw grows exceptionally well in aquaponics systems. We love pawpaw (papaya) as a dessert fruit and enjoy an abundance from our two trees year round.
Recently one of my trees broke of under the weight of the fruit. This was a real disappointment as this was the "red" variety which is our favourite.
We are still harvesting the "golden" type which continues to yield at least one good sized fruit each week during winter.

I immediately planted a replacement tree which is doing just fine and is already showing fruit.

What can I grow in an Aquaponics system ?
