Hi...I am attempting to build a system for a friend and have come across some free river rock. I have been told that it is fairly large with rocks ranging 1-4 inches in size. Is this too big to be used as a growing medium? And what are the disadvantages of using a larger sized medium? Thanks in advance for your help. :)
