OK so I know almost all leafy greens do very well in deep water culture systems, so why do I never see mention of baby spinach? I would think that would be a very profitable crop since it is harvested several time per planting, and DWC would solve the largest problem with conventional soil grown spinach (WEEDS ). I have read that spinach likes lots of iron, does that cause problems elsewhere in the system? Or is this just a case of nobody has tried it yet?

I've grown spinach and silver beet here in the hot tropics but not had great success. It seems to grow better in rich soil than in DWC or gravel beds. What seems to grow well here are tomato, cucumber, basil etc. The veges that love lots of water. I have found that root rot is a problem for the leafy veges. either my GB's are too water logged or the outside temp. (30 C +) is too high.
