If you have a dog that roams this system is brilliant - cheaper than fencing!
for sale @ $200

I see that you can get extra collars, might get for the kids!! Only joking!!!
Sorry to hear about your dog, we lost ours a couple of months back too, she dug out and went under a car. We were looking at getting such a system then, wish we had!

Hi Bushboy,
Sorry to hear about your dog, you do get attached to them. We have 2 yorkies and both are about 14-15 so not looking forward to the day.

Oh dear. Very sad stuff. I do remember when my dog died (cancer), bursting into tears when I suddenly walked down the dog food aisle at the local supermarket. Funny stuff now but heartbreaking then...

So sorry to hear that Bushboy. Odd, how they become part of the faimily.

Get another dog. I know they don't live as long as us and it's hard when they go but the time they are here they burn brightly.

Yep, I am dog-less at the moment, lost both our dogs about a year ago.....Definitely want another 2 but just can't get around to getting another two.
My back yard is about 50m x60m so the device would be really good for the future dog/s we will get.
Dogs are really great, they listen when you talk to them. I often explained things to my dogs and they would both sit and listen, never argued with me once, never once told me I am overweight or that I talk too much.....or that I need a shave.... and they never noticed that my shirt did not match the trousers......

Thanks for the expressions of sympathy - he was a great guard dog,
being 1/2 border collie + cattle dog cross , visitors were never sure if
he would bite or not ( he didn't). We were always aware of anyone around.
Not ready for another dog though.

Sorry to hear about your dog, BB. I had my 10-yr-old Rotti put down last June, and grieved for her more keenly than I'd expected.

Hi BB, really sorry to hear about your dog, We lost one about 18mths ago to epilepsy. Didn't think we would get another for a while but unknown to us at the time a friends Kelpie had just had pups and they offered us one. So we went and had a look and one of them picked us. She is a great dog and different to the one we lost. We always grieve for the ones we have lost but take great joy in the time they spent with us.

Hi Bushboy,
have only just joined up and was looking through the site and saw your post. Is your dog system still for sale?
Thanks

I always wanted to know how well these worked in suburbia ?
Reason is I have narrow side yards and wanted to put one in so the dogs will travel the whole property but not go near the neighbours boundry fence.
We have a nasty neighbour that teased them and now the dogs hate that neighbour.
If it is 2-3m warning, (i'd prefer 1m), then they pretty much would not use the narrow areas at all given they are 4m wide :(
Hope that makes sense and hope someone has experience to comment on this.
Just put down my rottweiler after getting cruciate liagment injury from same neighbours daughter trying to get in our yard...and couldn't afford the $2k+ surgery :(
Currently solution is to keep the dogs in tiny yard and they can't run rest of the property.
