Out of interest, what is the correct amount of eggwhite to use Rupe?

My tank water has changed this last week from it's usual slight straw colour to a much darker tea colour. The fish seem fine though. The Ph dips towards 6.0 each week if its left to its own devices so I monitor it and add enough lime to the sump to keep it to 6.3.
