Can anyone tell me if trout will happily eat and survive on worms from a wormfarm. I have 3 large wormfarms that are producing large quantities of worms and I would like to put them to good use.

Hey Phil,
Do bears sh-t in the woods?...Can anyone tell me if trout will happily eat and survive on worms from a wormfarm.
Are the Kennedy's gun shy?...
Is the Pope a cattle tick?...
I don't know what the fish farm guy was feeding them, but my trout were reluctant to eat pellets when I first put them in, so just as a test I chucked a small handful of compost worms in the FT and they went spac!... I think I ended up with more water on the floor than was left in the tank. Problem is I've only got a small worm farm, so they had to learn to eat the barra pellets.
If you can keep the supply of worms up to them I reckon they'd luvya for it!![]()
.
I don't need anger management... I need people to stop pissing me off!!!

In short they will survive but for real growth you will need to feed them high protine pellets as well
If its free pick it up
The Grobest fish feed guy reckons if you feed them too many earthworms the fish will "switch" and not eat your pellets. Probably use the worms as a treat every now and then...
Have you seen this report about the benefits of eating worms yourself? You'll never forget where you put your car keys again!!
Love it, or hate it..... aquaculture pellet feeds are as near a complete "balanced" diet as possible....
Worms, BSF, Lupins, Soy meal, duckweed, etc... are all great supplements... but not a complete diet on their own...
OK Thanks guys, it would seem the consensus is : some - good, lots - maybe, exclusive - not a great idea.
