Thanks guys. I am designing a system for an orphanage in Haiti and we are trying to use indigenous materials. (if indigenous will work in this sense of meaning) I was looking into Seashells as a form of Potassium as well as a medium mixture and trying to create a grow bed that is hurricane resistant led me to think of sand.
