Yeah.... and Whyalla... will disappear off the map....
I was going to go and hide in one of the Illawarra coal mines that Tony said would be abandoned this weekend....
But those loonies at BHP went and put up a $800 million dollar investment.. largest in the Illawarra's history....
Haven't they heard of the carbon tax.... or been listening to messiah Abbott...
Well... dusted off the old Delorian last night... woke at dawn, put on my tin foil hat... and tentitively ventured outside with my sky height measuring stick....
Beautiful clear blue sky Castaway... not a flake of soot to be seen...
Despite constant measurements all day... the sky doesn't seem to have fallen... google earth still shows Whyalla on the map... my mate who works in the mines around Newcastle is roostered on for work the next 6 days.... and BHP isn't closing it's Illawarra mines...
Even tha cats and dogs down at the local RSPCA shelter seem happy and contented....
Getting too cold to hang around outside... so I creeped back inside... to get warm... half expecting to have no electricity because the power stations had shut down.... but nah... everything normal....
What's going on Tony....
There you go... undeniable proof the carbon tax was just a money grab based on flawed (tainted) science!Getting too cold to hang around outside...
Case closed.

Nah Yabbies.... undeniable proof that some people can't distinguish between winter.. and the onset of night.... and recorded data showing climate change trends....
No wonder they're so easily misled by quacks, monks... and political loonies...
Typical greenie... wanting to cherry pick selective data to base your argument on!...Nah Yabbies.... undeniable proof that some people can't distinguish between winter.. and the onset of night....
What about we just deal with facts?... On Landline today there were saying that people were wearing jumpers in Darwin this week!...
Now that's the kind of "hands on"... "at-the-coal-face" type of irrefutable data that Mr Flannery should be taking note of next time he shakes down the government for providing "expert" advice.

I spent 4 years in the territory Yabbies... and had to wear a jumper several times.... even in the middle of the Tanami desert.... in winter... at night...
Projected temperature for Alice Springs for the next few days...
Forecast for Monday
Sunny and cool. Light to moderate southeast winds.
Frost Risk: High.
Precis: Sunny, cool.
Alice Springs Min -2 Max 15
UV Alert 10:30 am to 2:50 pm, UV Index predicted to reach 5 [Moderate]
Tuesday Sunny, cool. Min -3 Max 16
Wednesday Sunny, cool. Min -2 Max 17
Thursday Sunny, cool. Min -2 Max 17
Nothing unusual about it all Yabbies.... any more than it rains sometimes... sometimes really hard and long.....
Don't confuse the seasons and weather.... for long term climate trends Yabbies....
Aww c'mon Rupe... Reeeally???... I was just having a bit of fun, but now you're just taking the piss!
Do you honestly expect us to believe a learned fellow like yourself would expect the minimum winter temps in Darwin to be similar to those of the Tanami Desert and Alice Springs???I spent 4 years in the territory Yabbies... and had to wear a jumper several times.... even in the middle of the Tanami desert.... in winter... at night...
It took me about 15 seconds to google this info up:
Now you’re really carrying on like one of those climate change alarmists!...Alice Springs weather in winter is warm days and cold nights with the average daily maximum temperature around 21 degrees Celsius.
The average daily minimum temperature is around 5 degrees Celsius, although it can get much lower.
The lowest recorded minimum temperature in the Northern Territory was recorded at Alice Springs on the 12th of July 1976, it was minus 7.5 degrees Celsius.
Winter in Darwin is warm and sunny.
The average daily maximum temperature is around 30 degrees Celsius.
The average daily minimum temperature is around 19 degrees Celsius.
The lowest recorded minimum temperature in Darwin was recorded on the 29th of July 1942, it was 10.4 degrees Celsius... Next you'll be telling us the temps on a winters morning are the same in Canberra as they are in Gerringong!

Nope Yabs.... hey if it's alright for Tony & Co to reckon the sky's gunna fall... areas are goning to be wiped off the map etc etc.... a bit of poetic licence and taking the piss by myself is pretty bland....
I know Darwin is warmer than Alice Springs.... and it's perhaps not that often that Darwin gets cold... or cool at least....
But it does happen.... and heck when you're in NT... you reach for a jumper when it drops below 20 degrees....
The point is... that your point about people wearing jumpers... hence disproving the possibility of climate change (even if taking the piss).... is the kind of nonsense that's trotted out...

...
...and I reckon the closest you'd get to seeing a jumper in Darwin... is a Hard Yakka work shirt that hasn't had the sleeves cut off!
I don't know about Darwin, haven't been there yet... but I luuurrvs the weather and the people in Kunannurrannurra, or however it's spelt. Was there one year Barra fishing, camping on the lower Ord during the build-up... AWESOME!!!
Would move there tomorrow!... if I could get the Minister for War and finances to see a clinical hypnotist!...... coz I reckon that's the only way it would happen!
The only problem is I don't like VB or Emu Export and they're the only two beers you dare drink when there... unless you're willing to be permanently branded a shirt-lifter!... Then again, that was a fair while back, it may have become more cosmopolitan since!
