    Thumbs up Kia Ora Kotou!

    Hello out there to everyone!
As one of a zillion (if thats a word) expat kiwis livin in Oz (please don't hold that against me), I thought it was about time that I posted an intro, i'd been interested in the idea of aquaponics for a couple of years and had been aquiring bits and pieces under scrutiny from my betta half for the best part of those couple of years. It was'nt until we visited rupe in Geringong and she actually saw aquaponics working that she came around, her next suprise was when we got home and she opened up my garden shed door and found most of the equipment to make a system and an air pump arriving by courier as she answered the ringing door bell! A miricle!
I've been registered for a while and have been reading a few (well...a lot) posts while i've been setting up my system and am grateful for all the problems and advice given by everyone out there!
I will post in the "NAS" soon, thanx again for all your help in getting started,

    cheers!

    Thanx John,

yep finally up and running, i actually was cycling the system the last half of last year and had some silver perch fingerlings in from the middle of october but had a catastrophe just before xmas when i left the tap on to top up my fish tank (town water) before heading to work, it was on for about 15hrs. When i remembered it was to late, i returned home to find the backyard flooded and my fingerlings floating just off the bottom (I now have a procedure to turn off the tap).

Anyways im back into the swing of things and so far so good (procedure working!

Yes John the visit to your place was what was needed to get the boss on side, and yes i will certainly be keeping in touch, once again thanx.

    Joe.
