    Default trout problem

i noticed a trout swimming near the surface with a bright red mark near the gills i dont know if it has been attacked by bigger fish or some sort of disease
i have given it a salt bath and isolated it in a floating tank, it is struggling floating on its side sometimes i am not expecting it to last to long

Hard to see on this low quality pictures, but it looks to me like an attack.

I agree. Looks like a temporary fish I'm sorry to say.

Looks like you´re fish is suffering from fin rot.
Usual a bacterial infection which can be solved with salt.

Check the pH in your system, this can also cause fin rot.
