Maybe i should come visit just to give my advice? LOL

Would you need a green house in the Caribean? Or is it mainly to control things like rain?

I don't really have the answer for you at all, but am curious

The green house would be for rain and shade cover in the summer time.

The trade winds blow from the south east so I was thinking I might face it like that so that the wind would blow through it. Im not sure if this is a big no no or not ?

as you know, anything you build should be braced to handle max wind/ storms. IF you can, you normally have building facing winds. otherwise make sure it can handle anything mother nature throw at it. I live i FNQld australia. we've had 2 biggest cyclones in history in last 5 yrs. So dont cut corners
