It is a 15,000 lph ezyjet submersible. Actually it is 280 watts. There is a second pump for standby with it's own delivery pipe, so we can effectively double the water throughput just by switching on the second pump. At this time it is not necessary.
It may become necessary when the greenhouse is in full production. We will wait and see.
This is one of the reasons we fitted extra delivery pipe to the greenhouse on Wed last so that there is enough capacity on the gravity fed side should the second pump's capacity ever be needed, or partly needed.
We feel that the plumbing now has over capacity which is good.

This particular job has been really good from an experience point of view. Because of the sloping site and the remotely located fish tank shed the plumbing/water flow has been a bit of a challenge.
It is proving to be an excellent installation.

Being able to move the water all around the facility with such a small pump is really a very satisfying outcome.

Had another site visit yesterday.
Had the pleasure of taking Dr Wilson Lennard to inspect the site and give some advices.
The system is going very well.
It is now ready to ramp up the production a bit but we are hampered a little by the lack of sizeable fish and therefore sufficient nutrient to provide for mass plantings.
Dr Wilson has developed some formula for the plant to nutrient ratios which are very precise. He has formula than can be applied for various common vegetable crops. These formula allow for the precise prediction of the fish and fish feed required to produce a particular vegetable crop outcome.

Dr Willson is back in Australia after spending several months in NZ setting up an AP system at a large existing Hydro farm.
An additional new greenhouse has been set up with half hydro half AP in order to conduct trials.
Controlled growth comparisons are underway and hopefully we may see a paper published on the findings some time into the future.

I a sorry, you can't purchase his formula.....but we can arrange for him to consult on your project.
It is not a simple as just applying his formula. There will be a lot of background and supporting criteria that needs to be in place. It is a "whole of system" approach.

Hi, The owner has kept more than half of his existing NFT and will gradually change it all as funds allow.
Yes the reasons are as you suspect and that hydro nutrients are getting more expensive.
