If you’re serious about aquaponics - whether domestic or commercial - this course will set you up for success.  Hundreds of students, from Australia and overseas, have been informed and inspired by this on-site four-day course.

The training comprises practical greenhouse sessions and course lectures each day.

So, who is Murray Hallam, anyway?  Why should you come to his course?

Murray is probably the most well-known face in the worldwide aquaponics movement. He discovered aquaponics in early 2006, and immediately put his fibreglass boat-building skills to work to build and sell aquaponics systems and equipment through Practical Aquaponics in North Maclean, Queensland, Australia.  After doing it himself for a while, he started teaching others.

To help spread the word about aquaponics, Murray produced three excellent, foundational films: Aquaponics Made Easy, Aquaponics Secrets, and DIY Aquaponics.  Since 2016, he has also run a highly successful online course, reaching thousands of students in over 190 countries around the world.  You can also find Murray's entertaining and educational short videos on YouTube by searching for “Murray Hallam’s Practical Aquaponics”.

Murray has a trade and business background and, together with tertiary education, has developed broad Aquaponics knowledge and skills. His Aquaponics kits are distributed right around Australia and have also been exported overseas to New Zealand, Hong Kong, the United States, New Caledonia, PNG and Malawi, to name a few.

Feedback from Murray’s large client base has provided valuable development data for his knowledge in Aquaponics, as has his ongoing practice and experimentation in aquaponics.

Murray Hallam has conducted many on-site training classes in Aquaponics over the last 10 years. In Australia, these have been held in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.  Overseas, Murray has conducted Aquaponics seminars in the USA (California, Colorado, Texas, Florida), Puerto Rico, Morocco, India, and South Africa.

He is an experienced teacher.  As well as his own aquaponics courses, he also taught for a number of years at Ipswich and Bundamba TAFE colleges (college of Technical And Further Education). Murray also holds an Australian Nationally-Recognised Cert IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (TEA40110).

He has been a keynote speaker at the World Aquaponics Association Conference in the USA (Florida and Colorado), and regularly provides consulting services to commercial farm projects in Australia, the USA, Asia and the Middle East.

Basically, he knows what he's talking about in aquaponics and how to successfully train students!  You can trust what he tells you, and feel confident that you would gain a great deal of knowledge from doing this course.

This course starts right at the basics of aquaponics, so no prior knowledge is required.  From there, it goes all the way up to commercial-scale operations.  Something for everyone!

The course is held at Murray's property at North Maclean, Queensland, Australia (post code 4280).
