They can be used as submersible pumps, since all electrical components are fully enclosed and safe to use underwater.
or you can use them as in-line (external) pumps. If using in-line/extxernally, the pump inlet must be placed below the level of the incoming water, to push the water into it.

Sturdy construction with robust bearing and shaft. And there is no lubrication maintenance needed.
They have built-in protective mechanisms, which increases the pump's lifespan. A soft-start feature protects the pump by avoiding a jolting start. And the auto power-off protects the motor from burn-out if the impellor gets jammed.
The open-vane impellor handles dirty water with soft particles up to 4 mm in diameter - a necessary feature for use in aquaponics!
On top of all that, they are energy-efficient, with low power use for the amount of water flow provided.

“ I have had 3 different pumps for my aquaponics setups over the years. This one is easily the most powerful and was of a similar size. The number of accesories also was surprising. Literally if I wanted to do fountains or anything else the pump can do it. I am very happy. It is currently being used to drain the excavated hole for the fish pond on a daily basis and does so very quickly. ”
