A backup system is vital! No matter what size your aquaponics system is, you need a backup system!
This Float Switch Tank is a simple, reliable way to ensure your fish keep getting the fresh water and air they need.
If your system doesn’t have a header/distribution tank in which to mount a float switch, this 25 L (6.6 Gal) side tank will be a great addition.
Complete with Float Switch and plumbing for water inlet and outlet, it’s easy to install and a breeze to operate.
You can easily mount it over a fish tank or sump so the water can drain straight back into the system.
Connect a line from your main water pump. While the pump is running, the header tank will remain full, keeping the float switch closed. If the water flow stops for any reason – whether power outage, pump blockage or burnout – the water level in the tank will drop, opening the float switch and turning on the backup pump (not included).
