Diaphragm Kit for PondMAX air pump - PA80

The PondMAX PA80 are 'Linear diaphragm' (dy-uh-fram) air pumps. 

Such pumps are designed to have a long working life, and the diaphragms are pretty much the only parts that you can expect to replace over the lifetime of the pump.  How long they last will depend on the conditions in which they are being used, but replacing the diaphragms once a year is recommended.

The diaphragms are directly involved with the movement of air through the pump.  They expand and contract with every stroke of the pump, so eventually wear out.  

You can tell when the diaphragms are starting to wear out, as you will start to notice less air coming out of the pump.  Other things can cause lowered airflow, too, though, so check everything else before doing the diaphragms - is the air intake blocked or dirty; are the air lines kinked or blocked; do the diffuser stones/tubes need cleaning...

The PondMAX PA80 air pumps are designed with diaphragm replacement in mind.  It's simple and easy to do, and the instructions that come with the pumps clearly outline the steps involved.

Each of the PA80 diaphragm kits come with the necessary diaphragms and housings for one pump.  That is, two diaphragms per kit, so you can replace both diaphragms in the pump at the same time, which is always recommended.
