A vital tool to start your backup pump/s running if the main water-flow stops for any reason! Power failure? On it goes. Clogged or burned-out main pump? Backup pump starts! Great security for your fish!
This good-quality float switch is actually designed to start a DC pump if water level rises. In aquaponics, we mount it upside down in a header tank (not included), so that, if the water level in the tank falls due to the water flow being stopped, the switch will start a backup pump (not included) to keep water turning over in the fish tank, providing emergency aeration and water cycling.
The switch can easily be slipped out of its base for installation or cleaning.
